SundogLabs

Software that orbits your business.

Sundog Labs builds focused web apps for real practices — hosted on your own site address, engineered as one shared platform.

Purpose

A lab for practical products

We design, ship, and run small, sharp applications — not bloated platforms. Each product lives on its own site address under sundoglabs.ca, sharing a hardened platform engine while staying tailored to the work at hand.

  • 01

    One business, one site

Each practice gets its own address. Isolation and branding without a separate stack for every client.

  • 02

    Suite-ready

Shared sign-in, data, and hosting — with room for specialized modules as niches diverge.

  • 03

    Ship-shaped

Built to deploy, observe, and iterate. Consulting contracts live with BRH; this is the product engine.

Suites

One engine, many possibilities

The Sundog engine can power a focused web app for almost any trade or practice — your own site address, shared sign-in, and secure data separation. Below are a few live demos that show what that looks like in practice.

Field Service

Catalog products, equipment hours, and labour rates once — then build invoices from line items that keep their prices when rates change later.

Sandbox

Field Service is for crews who quote and bill from the field: solar installs, HVAC, electrical, and other job-based trades. Set up a catalog of parts, hourly equipment, and labour rates; pick a client; add lines from the catalog or type ad-hoc entries.

Line prices snapshot when the invoice is created — a rate-card change tomorrow does not rewrite last month's bill. Track draft, sent, paid, and void statuses; email invoices to clients with a secure view link and PDF attachment via connected Gmail.

The suite shares the platform's sign-in and hosting setup but ships its own look — invoices, clients, products, equipment, and labour rates under /fieldservice/*.

  • Product catalog

Parts and materials priced per unit — panels, wire, hardware, and consumables.

  • Equipment billing

Cranes, lifts, and trucks billed hourly while they are on site.

  • Labour rate card

Crew and specialty trades as hourly or flat-rate catalog lines.

  • Price snapshots

Invoice lines lock their unit price at creation so history stays accurate.

  • Email delivery

Connect Gmail, compose invoice emails, and track client receipt.

  • Client portal link

Recipients open a tokenized view page and download a PDF without signing in.

Foot Care

Client files, visit logs, bilateral foot assessments, and consent — built for nurses who work in homes and clinics, not at a desk.

Live · sandbox available

Foot Care is the live product used by Kelci's Mobile Foot Care and other pilot practices. Each practice gets its own site address with private data, secure sign-in, and a workflow shaped around how foot-care nurses actually chart.

A client file is the hub: intake with medical flags, a searchable visit log, structured assessments with an interactive foot map, and consent records with PDF export. Flags like diabetes, blood thinners, and allergies stay visible on every screen so nothing gets missed between visits.

New users get a guided tips tour; info icons stay available for quick reminders. Consent can be captured on site or sent by email for electronic signing — unsigned or outdated policies are flagged on the client file.

  • Client intake & flags

Search by name, phone, or email. Medical flags travel with the file and surface on every visit.

  • Visit log

Service ticks, notes, and copy-from-previous defaults. Full paginated history with filters.

  • Bilateral assessments

Structured L/R findings, foot map marks, copy previous chart, and copy right → left.

  • Consent & e-sign

Draw or type signatures, policy versioning, Gmail invite links, and downloadable PDFs.

  • Document views

Completed assessments and signed consents open as printable documents with PDF download.

  • Due-this-week

Filter the client list to see who needs a visit in the next seven days.

Clients

Search by name, phone, or email. Flags travel with the file.

Example suite · Productized AI

Bid Copilot

This example exists to show how Sundog Labs productizes AI: a real business app with extract, review, and export — not a chatbot bolted onto a form.

Sandbox

The point is the product, not the model. Bid Copilot wraps AI in a real workflow — PDF intake, a structured requirements checklist, editable proposal drafts, and Markdown/PDF export — on the same private business-site setup as the other suites. Construction RFPs are the vehicle so you can see the loop end to end.

Drop a tender PDF; the model pulls deadlines, insurance, scope, and evaluation criteria into a checklist you verify before drafting. Proposal sections come from that extraction, not a blank chat window. Review, edit, then export.

Launch a private workspace: name it after your business, try a sample RFP, or upload a PDF (AI analysis capped in sandbox). Isolated data, deleted in 24 hours.

  • PDF upload & storage

RFPs live in your business workspace — not in a generic chat session that forgets context.

  • Requirement extraction

Deadlines, mandatory forms, insurance, scope, and evaluation weights pulled into a sidebar checklist.

  • Grounded drafting

AI proposes proposal sections you edit, save, and export — human review before anything ships.

  • Status pipeline

Track each RFP from upload through extraction, drafting, ready, or error with clear messaging.

  • Export options

Download finished work as Markdown or PDF when sections are approved.

  • Separate per business

Each contractor site keeps its own RFP library and drafts — same product, separate data.
